Hong Kong will kick off the 2027 HSBC SVNS World Championship at Kai Tak Sports Park from 9 to 11 April, marking the opening leg of the three-stop title-deciding series. The championship will then head to Valladolid, Spain, from 21 to 23 May before concluding in Bordeaux, France, from 28 to 30 May.

The championship follows a six-leg regular season beginning in Dubai in late November, with stops in Cape Town, Singapore, Perth, Vancouver and New York. Only the top eight men’s and women’s teams will qualify for the final series.

The announcement builds on Hong Kong’s successful return to the global sevens calendar earlier this year, when the tournament attracted a record 113,395 spectators, including a single-day attendance high of 41,457 at Kai Tak. The 2027 season will also mark the start of qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, adding further significance to the competition.
