Recently, 19 additional enterprises in Huizhou were recognized as national-level green factories, spanning key local industries such as electronics, petrochemicals, and equipment manufacturing. This brings the city’s total number of national green factories to 58, maintaining its leading position in the province.

In traditional petrochemical plants, pollution control and environmental compliance have long been costly and challenging. The newly recognized petrochemical companies, however, have significantly reduced energy consumption by optimizing processes, upgrading energy-efficient technologies, and replacing conventional fuels with clean energy—providing a strong example of low-carbon, green development in the petrochemical sector.

In recent years, Huizhou has actively promoted green industry, offering free energy-saving consulting services to businesses. As a result, industrial energy consumption in the city has continued to decline. To date, Huizhou is home to 2 national green industrial parks, 58 national green factories, 105 provincial green factories, and 10 green supply chain management enterprises, reflecting a steadily improving green manufacturing system.
