Thirty giant panda cubs at two breeding bases in southwest China’s Sichuan Province have sent cheerful Spring Festival greetings to people across the country.
All the cubs were born in 2025, with 18 at the China Conservation and Research Centre for the Giant Panda and 12 at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The greetings were delivered from four festively decorated exhibition booths at the Ya’an and Shenshuping panda bases, as well as the Star and Moon delivery rooms in Chengdu.
Bathed in auspicious Chinese red, the booths featured lanterns, bamboo crafts and New Year messages inspired by the Year of the Horse, creating a joyful holiday atmosphere. Enrichment facilities ensured the cubs could play comfortably as they appeared on screen.
