China has recently launched its first Guinness World Record attempt for the "most people dancing Chinese dance simultaneously," with over 60 venues across the country and more than 10,000 dancers performing in unison. At the Fogang County Gymnasium in Qingyuan, Guangzhou—one of the sub-venues—nearly 300 young dancers took part, joining the collective bid for the Guinness World Record.
On site, the dancers moved in perfect unison, sleeves flowing gracefully, embodying the oriental elegance of Han-Tang dance. Under the challenge rules, all venues had to keep time deviation within 3 seconds and action error rates below 10%. As the final note faded, the Qingyuan sub-venue completed the full routine seamlessly. After an hour of rigorous on-site judging, the judges officially declared the challenge a success, and the venue erupted in cheers as the sweat and dedication of over 10,000 dancers nationwide earned their place in Guinness World Records history.
As a global Chinese dance charity challenge, the event aims to bring Chinese dance culture to the public and promote classical Chinese dance worldwide. According to organizers, the challenge was both a test of the young dancers' perseverance and a tribute to the legacy of Han-Tang ritual and music culture.
