[China Travelogue] Snow Sports and Ice Fishing Boost Hulin’s Winter Appeal
: :

Ice and snow tourism is gaining fresh momentum this winter in Hulin City, northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province, as upgraded facilities and immersive experiences draw visitors from around the world.

At Hulin’s Happy Ice and Snow Park, enhanced infrastructure has expanded the range of winter sports and leisure activities on offer, allowing tourists to fully embrace the region’s sweeping snowy landscapes. From sledging to interactive play zones, the park is becoming a popular destination for first-time snow lovers. One visitor from Egypt said it was “the first time in my life I’ve seen so much snow”, adding that “every activity I tried was so fun.”

Beyond snow sports, Hulin is pairing outdoor adventure with local flavour. On the frozen Ussuri River, traditional ice fishing has been upgraded into a “catch-and-cook” experience, where visitors reel in fish and enjoy them fresh in hotpot-style meals on site.

By blending ice, snow and local culture, Hulin is shaping a vibrant, multi-layered winter tourism experience for domestic and international travellers alike.
