Meet Mohamed—a young Egyptian exchange student whose passion for cultural studies led him deep into Suzhou’s history. Captivated by its gardens and waterways, he now shares the magic of this ancient city with visitors from around the world. He can also speak fluent Mandarin.

Suzhou has so much to see: its classical gardens, mountains, and waterways. It’s truly beautiful.

From dawn till dusk, he shuttles between Wangshi Garden and Shiquan Street, his green vest a beacon for curious travelers. Every map he hands out carries not just directions, but stories—stories that made him fall in love with Suzhou.
