The 22nd China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) opened in Shenzhen on Thursday, highlighting the rapid growth and high-quality development of China’s cultural sector. Running for five days, the event features a main venue alongside 51 sub-venues, creating broad opportunities for global exhibitors and buyers to connect and collaborate.
This year’s fair reflects the rising popularity of traditional Chinese culture in modern daily life, with growing public interest in archaeology, poetry, opera, theatre and creative products inspired by intangible cultural heritage. Chinese aesthetics and traditional styles have also continued to gain momentum among younger audiences and consumers.
Backed by the rich legacy of Chinese history, the country has expanded its public cultural services, strengthened cultural-tourism integration and produced acclaimed artistic works. Over the past five years, revenue in China’s cultural industry rose by over 37 percent, while domestic tourism surpassed 6.5 billion trips in 2025.
