The 2025 AERO Asia show opened in Zhuhai on Thursday (November 27), showcasing the latest advances in general aviation and the fast-growing low-altitude economy. This year’s biennial event has drawn more than 380 enterprises from 22 countries and regions under the theme “A New Era: Explore More”, and will run until 30 November.
Crowds, including many aviation enthusiasts who bought tickets for the opening day, were treated to spectacular displays by the South African AERO aerobatic team and China’s Hongxing (Red Star) team, whose diamond formations and diving transitions thrilled visitors. “The performance was truly excellent,” said one foreign attendee, while another, a commercial pilot, added: “This has always been our dream in aviation”.
The exhibition area spans 60,000 square metres, twice the previous edition, with many general aviation products making their global debut. International participation also remains strong, with companies from Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom among those present. According to Cheng Min, chairwoman of the Zhuhai Airshow Group, the 174 aircraft on display “comprehensively demonstrate the innovative vitality” of the industry.
