At the start of the new year, Huizhou Port in Huizhou, Guangdong Province, China, completed its 50,000-ton liquid hydrocarbon terminal and public liquid hydrocarbon storage area. The project is expected to begin operations this year.
The terminal was built to serve the petrochemical park, with transport services tailored to LPG shipments for companies requiring support for production and operations. Across the water, the public storage area features two massive 120,000 m³ cryogenic tanks—the largest single-tank liquid hydrocarbon storage units in the Daya Bay area.
The terminal is designed with one 50,000-ton liquid cargo berth and can accommodate two 3,000-ton ships simultaneously. With a planned annual throughput of 2.5 million tons, it will handle alcohols, esters, and other liquid chemical products, helping to establish a more efficient transport channel between the Daya Bay petrochemical zone and Huizhou New Materials Industrial Park.
