Rising global demand for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has left international pharmaceutical companies seeking secure, efficient ways to source authentic Chinese medicinal materials. The newly launched Shouchuang Trading Platform, unveiled simultaneously in Guangzhou’s Nansha and Hong Kong, offers a clear solution to this industry need.
Built in Nansha, the platform draws on Hong Kong’s trusted reputation in third-party testing, verification, and herbal trade to promote standardized, regulated, and transparent transactions across the TCM sector. It integrates trade settlement, information sharing, and logistics tracking, covering the full industrial chain from planting and processing to distribution. Under its membership system, 200 high-quality TCM enterprises from 28 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have joined so far.
In partnership with the Hong Kong Standards and Testing Centre, an independent non-profit third-party body, the platform has established a strict quality management system. More than 40 certified and tested medicinal herbs are available at launch, offering full traceability and fair pricing for premium products.
