Fortune, together with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), has unveiled the 2026 Fortune Future 120, a ranking of the 120 companies worldwide with the greatest potential for future growth. Eleven Chinese companies made the list, three of them from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area — a testament to the region's achievements and vast potential.
UBTECH, a Shenzhen-based company specializing in embodied intelligence and humanoid robotics, ranked 11th globally with a score of 115, ahead of prominent foreign players such as Nvidia, OpenAI, Apple, Tesla, and Meta. Zhuhai-based Accelink Technologies, which develops, produces, and sells optical fiber and laser devices and related optical communication products, ranked 32nd, while XPeng Motors, a leading name in China's new energy vehicle and intelligent driving sector, came in at 100th.
Fortune and BCG have jointly produced the ranking since 2017. Rather than revenue, profit, or market value, the Future 120 measures companies' organic growth vitality. It scores corporate vitality using 15 forward-looking indicators across three dimensions — growth ambition, talent density, and growth culture — designed to gauge a company's capacity to sustain growth rather than its current scale of operations.
