The GII is a benchmark resource for policymakers and business professionals alike. In the “Credit” sub-pillar, Hong Kong clinched the top spot. When it comes to higher education and knowledge absorption, the city ranked third and fifth, respectively. Talk about a brainy city!

The Hong Kong government’s two-pronged approach—emphasizing both finance and innovation and technology—is what’s fueling the city’s stellar achievements in the GII.
