A senior delegation of American business leaders has concluded a three-day visit to Guangzhou and Shenzhen, underscoring growing confidence in the Greater Bay Area as a key platform for future US-China economic engagement.
Organised by the US-China Business Council, the mission brought together representatives from more than 50 US companies across sectors including manufacturing, healthcare, finance and energy, marking the council’s largest and most senior delegation to date.
During the visit from 8 to 10 April, executives met provincial and municipal leaders, joined business-matching sessions and toured innovation hubs. USCBC president Sean Stein highlighted Guangdong’s evolution into a dynamic innovation centre where global firms can enhance competitiveness.
Local officials emphasised the region’s open business environment, robust supply chains and strengths in advanced manufacturing, AI and green technologies, while signalling continued support for foreign investment, R&D and sustainable growth initiatives.
