Chinese aerospace manufacturers are strengthening their presence at this year's Farnborough International Airshow in the UK, highlighting the country's growing role in the global aviation supply chain.

Chinese companies are showcasing key materials and components, including titanium, landing gear and aerostructures, while continuing to expand their capabilities across the aerospace sector. Industry representatives said Chinese suppliers are playing an increasingly important role in supporting global aircraft production, with further opportunities for growth in the years ahead.

The airshow also reflects broader shifts in the industry, with artificial intelligence, drones and autonomous defence technologies taking centre stage. Defence-related companies account for nearly half of the record 1,600 exhibitors at the five-day event, which opened on Monday.

Meanwhile, commercial aerospace continues to face supply chain constraints, labour shortages and engine delays, even as global demand for new aircraft remains strong.
