Chinese and Vietnamese naval personnel have taken part in a series of exchange activities in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, aimed at strengthening friendship and deepening mutual trust between the two sides.

The visit began on Monday when the Vietnamese People's Navy frigate Tran Hung Dao (Hull 015) arrived in Guangzhou for a four day goodwill visit.

During the programme, officers and sailors toured each other's vessels, including the Chinese PLA Navy frigate Enshi (Hull 627), where they learned about its equipment, training routines and naval traditions.

The two navies also staged cultural performances highlighting their respective traditions, alongside friendly sporting events including tug of war, line throwing and knot tying.

The Vietnamese delegation will host a deck reception during the visit, while the Chinese side has also arranged a visit to the former site of the Vietnam Youth Revolutionary Comrades Association, reflecting the shared history between the two countries.
