World tango champion Germán Cornejo is set to thrill Hong Kong audiences once again as he brings his acclaimed production Tango After Dark to the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on October 31 and November 1.
Invited by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the show transforms Argentina’s iconic dance into a grand theatrical spectacle, fusing Cornejo’s masterful choreography with the evocative music of Astor Piazzolla, the “Father of Nuevo Tango”.
Featuring world-class dancers, two vocalists, and a live seven-piece band, Tango After Dark has captivated audiences worldwide since its 2018 London premiere, with stops in New York and Toronto.
Adding to the excitement, a pre-show concert, Echoes of Tango: From Gardel to Piazzolla, will be held at the Hong Kong Space Museum on October 30, alongside tango workshops for all levels on November 1 and 2 – inviting everyone to step into the rhythm of Buenos Aires.
