The East Kowloon Cultural Centre will bring technology, music and movement together in a new programme series this winter, inviting audiences to experience the performing arts in more interactive ways.

“Unbox EKCC 2026” will run from November to December, featuring three projects that explore the relationship between audiences, artists and technology.

French music producer Verlatour will turn the venue into an interactive electronic music space with “IMMERSION”, using 3D point-cloud capture, illuminated drum pads and control totems that allow audiences to influence the sound, lighting and visuals.

Italian artistic studio fuse* will present “Sál”, a new media dance duet where two performers interact with light and shadow in real time, accompanied by acoustic and electronic music.

Multidisciplinary artist GayBird’s “Don’t stop, catch up, walk on” will meanwhile transform crowd movements and ambient sounds in public spaces into elements of the performance, examining how technology is changing everyday life.
