The Hong Kong leg of the 15th National Games torch relay will set off on November 2, lighting up the city from Tamar to Kai Tak Sports Park with a journey that celebrates unity and spirit.
The relay will begin at 9:30am at the Central Government Offices in Tamar, where the first torchbearer will set off against the city’s iconic skyline. The flame will travel through Tamar Park, the Central and Wan Chai harbourfront promenade, and Golden Bauhinia Square before crossing Victoria Harbour by ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui. Along the waterfront, runners will pass the Hong Kong Museum of Art and Cultural Centre, before continuing to Kai Tak Sports Park – the main competition venue for the Games.
In a creative twist, the relay will combine running, ferry rides, and open-top buses, showcasing Hong Kong’s unique transport culture. Fifty torchbearers from across the community will take part, uniting athletes, youth, and civic leaders in a vibrant prelude to the Games’ grand opening on November 9.
