Hong Kong, China athletes added four medals to their Asian Games tally on Tuesday, September 22, including a second gold for swimming star Siobhan Bernadette Haughey, bringing the delegation’s total to 12 medals.

Haughey won the women’s 100m freestyle, following her victory in the 200m freestyle on Monday, giving Hong Kong two gold medals in swimming at the Games so far.

Fencer Ryan Choi secured silver in the men’s foil individual event, marking a breakthrough Asian Games result for the athlete. Wushu athlete Lau Chi-lung also claimed silver in the men’s nanquan and nangun, earning his first Asian Games podium finish.

Cyclist Leung Wing-yee added a bronze in the women’s road race.

The delegation has now won three gold, five silver and four bronze medals at the 20th Asian Games, with further events still to come.
