Hong Kong’s men’s foil team has claimed a historic first-ever National Games gold, defeating Fujian 45–34 in a confident and composed performance. Olympic champion Edgar Cheung Ka-long, world title holder Ryan Choi Chun-yin, and emerging talents Leung Chin-yu and Lawrence Ng Lok-wang opened strongly, edging ahead 15–13 after the initial three bouts.

From there, the quartet tightened their grip on the match, extending the margin to nine points as their tactical cohesion and intensity shone through. They sealed the victory with a decisive 45–34 finish, marking a landmark moment for Hong Kong fencing.
