The Hong Kong Space Museum is taking audiences on a journey through the history of astronomy and the laws of physics with its new 3D dome show, “Explore 3D”, which began screening on October 15.

The 28-minute show brings centuries of scientific discovery to life through richly detailed visuals, tracing how pioneering scientists transformed our understanding of the universe and its celestial movements.

Audiences can explore how early astronomers tracked the movements of the Sun and Moon to predict eclipses, and how later discoveries reshaped humanity’s view of the solar system. The journey also reveals how the laws of physics developed over time have enabled scientists to calculate spacecraft orbits, laying the groundwork for modern space exploration.

By connecting landmark discoveries of the past with the possibilities of the future, “Explore 3D” offers a glimpse into humanity’s ongoing quest to understand the cosmos, including the dream of one day landing on Mars.

The show will run at the museum’s Space Theatre until July 14, 2027.
