The Hong Kong Streetathon returns today (23 November) with an extra burst of energy as the city’s signature urban run marks its 10th anniversary. To celebrate the milestone, organisers have teamed up with British street artist Szabotage (Gustav Szabo), who will create vibrant graffiti-inspired artworks capturing the event’s lively, marathon-meets-street-party spirit.
This year’s edition introduces a standout highlight: a brand-new route that lets full and half marathon runners race through the yet-to-open Central Kowloon Route (Yau Ma Tei section) for the first time. Hosted by RunOurCity, the event will offer three race categories: full marathon, half marathon and 10km, with capacity for 20,000 participants. The longer distances will start along the Eastern Corridor, sweep past Kowloon Bay and Kai Tak, and finish at the Yau Ma Tei Interchange.
The Asia YOUTHRUN 10K returns for runners under 25, alongside the popular family category. Visually impaired runners and their guides are also warmly welcomed, reinforcing the event’s inclusive spirit.
