The Hong Kong Science Museum unveiled three new permanent exhibition galleries that opened on February 6: the Living Tech Gallery, InnoTech Gallery, and AI Gallery.

The Living Tech Gallery explores how technology shapes daily life across transport, living, and food. Interactive exhibits highlight innovations from autonomous driving and MTR smart systems to sustainable architecture, renewable energy, and future foods like cultured meat. Visitors can also view the museum’s first collection item, the DC-3 airplane “Betsy”, tracing the evolution of flight.

The InnoTech Gallery introduces five transformative technologies: quantum, materials, biotech, computers and AI, and robotics, explaining their scientific principles and real-world applications. Highlights include a quantum computer model, a “Text to binary” station, and a water droplet exhibit demonstrating hydrophobic properties.

The AI Gallery showcases AI’s principles and creative applications, including art, music, and healthcare. Over 90 percent of exhibits are interactive, offering hands-on experiences with painting, music composition, chess, and more.
