The Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Festival returns this summer with a new waterfront setting along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, offering two weeks of cultural activities and harbourfront entertainment from 19 June to 1 July.
A highlight of this year’s programme is the 50th edition of the Sun Life Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races, which will take place on 27 and 28 June in Victoria Harbour. Spectators can watch teams compete from the promenade between the Kowloon Shangri-La and the Bruce Lee Statue on the Avenue of Stars, with free admission and shaded seating available.
Beyond the races, visitors can explore food stalls, a beer garden, cultural workshops and interactive activities along the Avenue of Stars. Festive photo installations, including a traditional 22-metre wooden dragon boat and themed displays, will also be featured throughout the event.
Exclusive offers, including complimentary refreshments and souvenirs, will be available for tourists to Hong Kong on a first-come, first-served basis.
