High-tech innovations stole the spotlight at the eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, where visitors were immersed in glimpses of future living driven by artificial intelligence and new technologies.
AI-powered roller shoes drew crowds with their effortless mobility; “It can increase your walking speed by about 2.5 to 3 times,” said exhibitor Zhang Xunjie, noting that the shoes adapt instantly to all kinds of terrain.
In the Automotive and Smart Mobility zone, Chinese company Inflync unveiled an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft whose wings can tilt 90 degrees, enhancing range and speed. A fully autonomous car with no steering wheel or pedals also made its debut.
Another highlight was a deep sleep cabin that uses charged particle waves to synchronise with brainwaves, helping users fall into a restful state within minutes. From smart mobility to wellness tech, this year’s CIIE showcased how innovation is shaping tomorrow’s lifestyle.
