More than 300 intelligent robots showcased practical applications ranging from public safety to agriculture at an exhibition in Hangzhou, east China’s Zhejiang Province.

The Zhejiang leg of the Intelligent Robot Application Skills Exhibition, organised by China Media Group, brought together more than 60 companies and highlighted a growing shift from standalone machines to integrated robotic systems.

Among the exhibits was a water rescue system developed by the Zhejiang Public Security Department, combining a robotic rescue boat, an underwater patrol robot, automated flying lifebuoys and a rescue robot. Police exoskeletons were also on display, providing up to 30 kilograms of assistive force to help reduce physical strain during demanding duties.

In agriculture, a tracked tea-picking robot was designed for muddy mountain terrain. Its robotic arm mimics human fingers and uses a small blade to precisely pick tender tea leaves, averaging one bud per second.

The exhibition aimed to promote wider real-world applications for intelligent robots and support economic and social development.
