A flying car independently developed by a Guangzhou-based manufacturer has rolled off the production line, marking the model’s transition from research and development to mass production and commercial deployment.
The two-seat unmanned aircraft is designed for short-distance, low-altitude travel, with a maximum flight altitude of 300 meters, a range of 20–30 kilometers, and a cruising speed of 120 km/h. Integrating aviation safety standards with automotive manufacturing processes, the plant’s intelligent manufacturing system manages the entire workflow, from parts supply and assembly to performance testing and final delivery.
As the company’s first mass-produced model developed in-house, the current production line has an annual capacity of 100 units. However, the company has already secured 2,000 orders from domestic customers and countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. According to company executives, efforts are underway to further automate the production line and rapidly replicate standardized manufacturing lines to expand capacity and meet growing market demand.
