The Guangdong Science Popularization Carnival's achievement exchange event was recently held at the Guangdong Science Center, showcasing a range of advanced technologies integrated into healthcare, education, agriculture, and other public welfare sectors.
The standout attraction was the AI-powered smart shrimp trap, equipped with built-in AI algorithms, cameras, and sensors. It accurately monitors shrimp growth and, by analyzing data such as size, weight, and internal organs, generates precise feeding plans. According to its developer, over 100,000 aquaculture farmers have adopted the device.
In the tech experience zone, the AI drone floodlight inspection system presented by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government gave visitors a firsthand sense of how AI enhances workplace efficiency.
Mr. Chan / Engineer / Electrical and Mechanical Services Department of HKSAR :
"With drones and an AI system, you simply program the flight path, and it automatically takes off and detects whether any lights are damaged. In Hong Kong, more than eight sports venues are currently using it."
The event also featured compact high-tech medical devices that effectively address the challenge of transporting large medical equipment to remote areas, offering visitors a real eye-opener. AI learning devices, functioning like master calligraphers, teach children brush calligraphy while keeping them thoroughly engaged. AI is steadily transforming our lives for the better.
