The 5th Global Digital Trade Expo is bringing together leading international technology companies in Hangzhou, highlighting their growing interest in China’s vast digital market and innovation ecosystem.
Running from September 23 to 27, the expo has attracted more overseas delegations than all previous editions combined, with more than 2,000 exhibitors, including over 400 from overseas. International companies account for more than 20 percent of the 170,000-square-metre exhibition area.
Tesla’s driverless Cybercab and Medtronic’s AI-powered brain-computer interface technology are among the attractions drawing visitors. The expo also features 55 Fortune Global 500 companies, including Google and Amazon.
Organisers said the event is facilitating connections between global businesses and China’s digital innovation, manufacturing and cross-border e-commerce sectors. More than 50,000 professional buyers from 163 countries and regions have registered, including over 12,000 international buyers, while international procurement orders have reached $1.085 billion.
