As autumn’s embrace deepens and chrysanthemums blaze in golden splendour, Yangzhou residents celebrate their annual floral tradition. Recently, Geyuan Garden — ranked among China’s top ten classical gardens — unveiled its premium chrysanthemum exhibition, where more than 2,000 pots of diverse blooms form a living tapestry against the garden’s timeless architecture. The display unfolds in captivating layers: in the North Entry and Orchid Pavilion areas, exquisite specimen blooms stand with graceful poise, while cascading chrysanthemums spill like golden waterfalls. Artistic topiaries and stump-trained bonsai chrysanthemums each work their unique magic, punctuated by cheerful clusters of autumn daisies. Visitors meander through the garden, discovering new vignettes at every turn. Many remarked that the chrysanthemums enhance the garden’s inherent Jiangnan elegance, creating an experience that delights both the eyes and the spirit. Garden officials noted that the exhibition will continue through November, with different varieties set to debut in the coming weeks — a progressive revelation of autumn’s finest palette that promises renewed wonders with each visit.
