[Cultural China] Guangdong Museum Opens Flower Culture Exhibition
: :

The Guangdong Provincial Museum has opened its first Chinese flower culture exhibition of the year, using flowers as a bridge to trace thousands of years of aesthetic memory in Chinese civilization.

One highlight at the entrance is a finely decorated polychrome porcelain set. Twelve cups are painted with 12 kinds of flowers, each linked to a month of the year. Another feature is a fan that displays more than 100 flowers across its small surface, with matching poems written on the back.

The exhibition spans nearly the full sweep of Chinese history, from Neolithic painted pottery to modern and contemporary paintings. It includes more than 200 items or sets of works in painting, porcelain, metalware, jade, ancient books, and export art, with precious cultural relics making up more than half.

The exhibition runs until June 28, and visitors interested in this distinctive Eastern aesthetic are welcome to explore it at the Guangdong Provincial Museum.
