The Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA) has unveiled three new exhibitions, alongside a mobile educational art bus, celebrating the city’s rich artistic heritage.
The “Wu Guanzhong: Encountering Landscapes” exhibition showcases the global journey of the late master Wu Guanzhong (1919–2010), featuring sketches, ink, and oil paintings including: “City Night”, “The Night of Oslo”, and the unique “Victoria Harbour”, painted in public at HKMoA. Hong Kong artist Flyingpig’s immersive installation “Light Entry” brings Wu’s vision to life, capturing thousands of windows illuminating urban landscapes. The accompanying Mobile Museum will visit schools, transport hubs, and community spaces over two years, engaging the public with Wu’s art through interactive multimedia.
The “Mini-figures in Paintings” exhibition highlights small figures in the Chih Lo Lou Collection, revealing the heart and stories behind Chinese landscape paintings. “Fantastic Breeze: Selected Fans from the Jingguanlou Collection” presents over 150 folding fans, combining painting, calligraphy, and poetry to showcase the refined elegance of traditional Chinese scholars.
All three exhibitions offer free admission, inviting audiences to explore and celebrate these artistic treasures.
