The Air-Land Fresh Lane, a logistics initiative designed to enable fast, coordinated air and land transport of perishable goods, has now been extended to Macau, marking a further step in regional supply chain integration. A recent shipment of 986 kilograms of live lobsters arrived in Hong Kong from Canada by air and was swiftly transferred via refrigerated truck across the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, completing the first seamless “overseas–Hong Kong–Macau” delivery.
The arrangement allows fresh products to move through a streamlined, end-to-end clearance and transport process, with real-time monitoring ensuring speed, efficiency and product quality. Goods can now be transferred directly from Hong Kong International Airport to Macau using a through-truck model, significantly reducing transit time and preserving freshness.
Since its launch in September 2025, the Fresh Lane has handled over 420 tonnes of imported produce, including live seafood and fruit destined for the mainland. Its extension to Macau underscores growing regional connectivity and further strengthens Hong Kong’s role as a key hub for high-quality fresh food logistics.
