The Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum has welcomed more than four million visitors since opening in May last year, quickly emerging as one of south China’s most popular sci-tech attractions. Recognised by UNESCO as one of the world’s most beautiful museums, the venue combines immersive learning with cutting-edge innovation.
Designed to encourage hands-on exploration, around 80 percent of the museum’s 950 exhibits are interactive, ranging from AI-powered ping-pong robots to brainwave-controlled racing cars. Many of the displays are regularly updated to reflect the latest technological advances, creating a constantly evolving visitor experience.
The museum has also become a platform linking research institutes, technology companies, investors and the public. Over the past year, it has hosted multiple sci-tech matchmaking events and supported dozens of technology transfer projects, while integrating science with culture, art and science fiction to expand the possibilities of modern museum experiences.
