[GBA Thrills] World Cup Fever Boosts Huizhou's Nighttime Economy
: :

The World Cup is a major event for football fans worldwide, and it has already given a significant boost to the nighttime economy, particularly in the restaurant and bar sectors. Bars in downtown Huizhou have undergone a "World Cup makeover," decorated with flags, posters, and illuminated signs representing participating countries. Giant projection screens, multiple televisions, and surround-sound systems create an immersive viewing experience for fans.

In addition to enhanced viewing facilities, many restaurants and bars are offering game-night specials, including local beer paired with Mexican snacks, while extending their operating hours to meet demand for late-night food and drinks.

Mexicans living in Huizhou shared their excitement, saying that football is deeply rooted in their culture and that having this year's World Cup hosted in their home country makes the event even more meaningful. Although they are unable to return home to watch the matches in person, the lively atmosphere in Huizhou makes them feel part of the celebration. Other international fans also said they plan to visit bars to support their national teams.
