Hong Kong showcased its growing role as a gateway to Asian markets at London Tech Week 2026, where Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in London led a series of events connecting UK entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders.

Networking receptions held on June 8 and 9 attracted around 140 participants from the technology, finance and start-up sectors, fostering discussions on innovation, investment and cross-border growth opportunities.

The UK remains one of Hong Kong’s most important international business partners, ranking as its fourth-largest source of overseas companies and second-largest source of start-up founders. Interest among British entrepreneurs continues to grow, driven by Hong Kong’s strengths as a fundraising hub and a strategic entry point to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.

Throughout the week, discussions highlighted shared priorities between Hong Kong and the UK in areas such as artificial intelligence, fintech, healthtech, greentech and digital transformation, underscoring opportunities for deeper collaboration and expansion across Asian markets.
