Hong Kong’s young musical talent took centre stage in Southeast Asia as the Hong Kong Children's Choir concluded its 10-day exchange tour of Singapore and Vietnam with its first full concert in Vietnam at the Saigon Opera House on July 25.

Joined by the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra, the 49 choristers aged 12 to 16 performed a programme of Chinese and Western choral works under music director Kathy Fok, celebrating cultural exchange through music.

Supported by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Singapore, the tour also featured a charity performance at Thi Nghe Parish Church and an exchange concert with students from Saigon University.

Earlier, the choir joined around 1,200 singers from eight countries and regions at Singapore’s inaugural Voices of the World International Choir Festival. A special concert at the Enabling Village highlighted Hong Kong’s choral excellence, giving the young performers opportunities to connect with international audiences and strengthen cultural ties across the ASEAN region.
