[HK Thrills] Kowloon Walled City Recreated Through Immersive Film Exhibition
: :

At the Kowloon Walled City Park, visitors can now explore the world of ‘Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In’ through an immersive movie set exhibition that showcases film artistry with Hong Kong history. The acclaimed film, which earned nine awards at the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards, has brought its large-scale sets back to the original site of the Walled City for a three-year showcase.

The exhibition features eight themed ‘sections’ recreating scenes such as the No.7 Restaurant, barbershop, grocery store, and bone-setting clinic, along with new set additions like the football factory and plastic-moulding workshop. A highlight is the ‘Rooftop of Light and Shadow in the Walled City’, where visitors can sit and gaze at Hong Kong’s past cityscape, whilst projections and sound recreate the atmosphere of roaring, low-flying aircraft coming in to land at the infamous Kai Tak Airport.

Free and open to the public, ‘Kowloon Walled City: A Cinematic Journey’ celebrates both Hong Kong’s film industry and the legacy of the city’s heritage.
