Hong Kong cyclist Ceci Lee Sze-wing successfully defended her title in the women’s road race at the 15th National Games, claiming gold once again on Sunday in Zhuhai.
Racing against over a hundred competitors, Lee powered through the 138.7-kilometre course; starting from Zhuhai Museum, crossing Lovers’ Avenue, the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge artificial island, and Hengqin Island, finishing in three hours, 19 minutes, and 54 seconds under clear skies.
This victory marks Lee’s second consecutive National Games gold, following her triumph in Shaanxi in 2021. Her outstanding performance will earn her HK$750,000 under the Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme, which recognises Hong Kong athletes achieving excellence on major stages.
With determination, strategy, and speed, Lee once again proved herself a true champion, bringing pride and glory to Hong Kong’s cycling community.
The 15th National Games continues until November 21.
