Hong Kong cyclists Ceci Lee Sze-wing and Chloe Leung Wing-yee delivered a stunning performance to win gold in the Women’s Madison at the 15th National Games on Sunday, Nov 16. The pair demonstrated exceptional skill and stamina, amassing 45 points over 120 laps in a fiercely competitive field of 12 teams.

The Madison, a two-person tactical relay with sprints every 10 laps, rewards teams with points for sprint placings and an extra 20 points for lapping the field. Lee and Leung excelled under pressure, scoring in nine of the 12 sprints, securing a decisive victory.

Their triumph marks Hong Kong’s sixth gold out of seven at the Games. In recognition of their achievement, the duo will receive HK$1.5 million under the Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme.
