Hong Kong’s popular Cinema Day is set to return on 25 April 2026, offering moviegoers a flat ticket price of HK$30 across 52 cinemas citywide. Tickets will be available from noon on 22 April via box offices and online platforms, with a limit of four tickets per transaction at counters, while online purchases will follow individual cinema booking policies.
The annual promotion continues to gain momentum. Organisers estimate around 200,000 admissions this year, building on last year’s 195,000 turnout. Between 50 and 60 films are expected to be screened, giving audiences a wide range of choices.
The event has consistently boosted both cinema attendance and surrounding retail activity. In total, the first three editions attracted 600,000 patrons and generated HK$44 million in box office revenue. With overall box office takings already up about 40 percent year-on-year, industry leaders remain optimistic about sustained growth.
