The Hong Kong Museum of History is set to unveil a major exhibition celebrating the splendour of China’s Sui and Tang dynasties, running from April 25 to August 24 with free admission. Titled “Prosperity and Magnificence”, the showcase brings together more than 165 artefacts from over 10 institutions in Shaanxi, including 18 grade-one national treasures.

Highlights include a graceful painted dancer figurine reflecting Tang ideals of beauty, and a finely crafted white pottery horse, symbolising prosperity and artistic mastery. Also on display are exquisite gold and silver ritual objects from the famed Famen Temple, adorned with intricate engravings and rich cultural symbolism.

Designed to echo the grand layout of Tang Chang’an, the exhibition combines artefacts with multimedia displays, offering an immersive journey into a vibrant and influential era of Chinese civilisation.
