Hong Kong is set to join the global pop culture spotlight with the launch of its first-ever official Comic Con, taking place this weekend from May 29 to 31 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai. The three-day event will celebrate comics, anime, film, television, gaming and cosplay culture, creating a major new gathering point for fans across the region.
The convention will feature entertainment giants, blockbuster franchises and celebrity appearances from both Hollywood and Asia, reinforcing Hong Kong’s growing status as a regional hub for pop culture events. A few of the confirmed guests include actors Mads Mikkelsen, Giancarlo Esposito, Christopher Lloyd and Jamie Campbell Bower, with fans set to enjoy autograph sessions, photo opportunities and special press events.
Hong Kong Comic Con will join the city’s established Ani-Com & Games convention, further strengthening the city’s vibrant entertainment and fan culture scene.
