M+ will present “Design Ah! Experience the Wonder of Everyday Design” from 27 June 2026 to 10 January 2027 in the Main Hall Gallery, marking the first time the acclaimed exhibition has been staged outside Japan.
Adapted from the highly successful exhibition at TOKYO NODE, the Hong Kong presentation is co-produced with NHK and is based on “Design Ah! Neo”, the award-winning Japanese educational television programme produced by NHK. The programme has earned international recognition, including Prix Jeunesse and Peabody Awards.
Designed for visitors of all ages, the exhibition explores how design shapes everyday activities such as walking, eating and sitting. Through hands-on games, interactive installations and immersive audiovisual experiences, visitors are invited to discover the hidden impact of design on daily life.
Led by general director Taku Satoh, video director Yugo Nakamura and music director Shuta Hasunuma, the exhibition aims to spark curiosity, creativity and those delightful moments of inspiration that make people say, “Ah!”.
