The Hong Kong Science Museum is showcasing the achievements of this year's Shaw Prize laureates through an interactive exhibition that brings complex scientific discoveries to life.
Running until January 6, 2027, at the museum's main lobby on the first floor, "The Shaw Prize 2026 Exhibition" features multimedia displays and interactive panels that explain key scientific concepts and offer visitors a closer look at the researchers' groundbreaking work. Admission is free.
This year's laureates were recognised across three fields: Life Science and Medicine, Astronomy, and Mathematical Sciences. Among them are seven scientists honoured for advances ranging from targeted treatments for acute promyelocytic leukaemia to research into stellar explosions and mathematical analysis.
Established as an international award for scientific achievement, the Shaw Prize will introduce a fourth category, Computer Science, in 2027.
