Hong Kong just aced the QS World University Rankings 2026—boasting Asia’s highest improvement rate! The University of Hong Kong (HKU) led the charge, leaping six spots to an all-time high of 11th globally, cementing its place as an elite Asian institution.                                                

With five universities in the top 100, the city shines brighter than ever as a world-class education hub. The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) kept climbing, while PolyU broke into the top 55! Even Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) and Lingnan University made impressive gains.           

QS highlighted Hong Kong’s new "Study in Hong Kong" initiative as a magnet for global talent. The rankings weighed factors like academic prestige, research impact, and sustainability—proving the city is leading.
