The Hong Kong Science Museum is showcasing scientific breakthroughs and their impact on everyday life at an exhibition running until November 18, offering visitors an engaging look at the work of leading scientists.

The “2026 The Future Science Prize Exhibition”, which opened on October 16, highlights the achievements of this year’s three laureates, alongside past winners from Hong Kong. Their research spans life sciences, physical sciences, mathematics and computer science.

Visitors can explore scientific concepts through interactive exhibits, including a digital fingerprint lab demonstrating how cryptography detects forgery, an exhibit explaining how hepatitis B and D viruses infect liver cells, and a simulator showing how single-atom catalysis can improve industrial efficiency.

Established in 2016, the Future Science Prize recognises outstanding scientific achievements on the Chinese mainland, in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

The exhibition also coincides with Future Science Prize Week, with scientists set to share discoveries on cutting-edge topics at symposiums on November 6 and 7.
