Hong Kong’s favourite furry duo, Ying Ying and Le Le, are celebrating a big milestone of turning 20 this August! Ocean Park pulled out all the stops to mark the occasion, treating the beloved giant pandas to custom icy birthday cakes packed with their favourite goodies like sweet potato, carrots and apples. The cakes were also topped with giant bamboo shoots symbolising strength, positive energy and prosperity.

Visitors can join in the celebrations by signing special birthday cards for Le Le on August 8 and for Ying Ying on August 16. Fans can also catch the pandas enjoying birthday treats and enrichment items!

Ocean Park is also marking the first birthday of panda twins Jia Jia and De De on August 15, as part of a month-long “panda-tastic” extravaganza. Beyond the fun, the event highlights the importance of wildlife conservation and protecting endangered species, offering a hopeful glimpse into a future where pandas continue to thrive.
