A grand ceremony steeped in history and reverence was held on Wednesday in Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province, to pay tribute to the Yellow Emperor; regarded as the forefather of Chinese civilisation and the shared ancestor of all Chinese people.With roots tracing back over 1,600 years to the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317–420), the Jinyun tradition of worshiping the Yellow Emperor continues to thrive as a powerful symbol of unity and cultural heritage.This year’s ceremony unfolded in nine solemn yet uplifting segments, including the striking of bells, floral and wine offerings, ceremonial singing, and the reading of an official tribute.More than 400 participants, among them compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, overseas Chinese representatives, and delegates from across society, gathered to celebrate the enduring legacy of their common ancestor and the unbroken continuity of Chinese civilisation.Source: China Central Television
