The 26th National Science and Technology Week has kicked off across China. Guangzhou, a major southern metropolis, hosted its 10th Science Carnival, offering residents a close look at the city’s latest scientific and technological innovations.

The event showcased breakthrough achievements and interactive experiences in artificial intelligence, optoelectronics, new energy, and other emerging fields. Brain-computer interface equipment displayed by Pazhou Lab proved especially popular among children. By wearing an AI headband, visitors could play games using their thoughts while also training their concentration.

A wide range of hands-on experiments and interactive installations was available on site, helping the public learn about intelligent manufacturing, optoelectronic technology, and other scientific concepts. The booth operated by the Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing under the Guangdong Academy of Sciences was bustling with activity. Young visitors conducted experiments using superabsorbent polymer to create colorful artificial snow, while matches against Go-playing robots also attracted large crowds.

A variety of science lectures and other educational activities will continue throughout Science and Technology Week in Guangzhou.
